I tried it at home

I tried it at home

Whenever I watch MythBusters, they remind me, “Do NOT try this at home!”

Now read this shirt.

(I’m a rebel.)

5 Deadly Terms Used By a Woman

5 Deadly Terms Used By a Woman

The 5 Deadly Terms Used By a Woman are:

#1: FINE

This is the word women use to end an argument when she knows she is right and you need to shut up.

#2: NOTHING

Means something and you need to be worried.

#3: GO AHEAD

This is a dare, not permission, do not do it.

#4: WHATEVER

A Woman’s way of saying, “Screw you!”

#5: THAT’S OK

She is thinking long and hard on how and when you will pay for your mistake.

Bonus Word: WOW!

This is not a compliment. She is amazing that one person could be so stupid.

Desperate times call for procrastination.

Desperate times call for procrastination.

I thought this was funny.  The usual saying goes, “Desperate times call for desperate measures.”

If it’s still available, it’d be here: http://www.whatonearthcatalog.com/whatonearth/Tees-Sweatshirts_3RA/View-All-Shirts-Sweatshirts_3RB/Item_s-DESPERATE-TIMES-CALL-FOR-PROCRASTINATION-SHIRT_CN1201.html

2014-08-10_rebel_alliance_logo_600x450

The Rebel Alliance logo, from Star Wars.  A symbol of hope.  A hope against tyranny and oppression.

Plus, if you’re evil, the Jedi just might kick your ass all over the galaxy.

Hawk’s Shirt of the Week 2014-07-27

How about never?

How about never?

This reminds me of a comic/joke I saw in a magazine somewhere:

No, Thursday's out. How about never--is never good for you?

No, Thursday’s out. How about never–is never good for you?

I think it’s really funny.

I got the shirt from Thinkgeek.  If it’s still available, it’d be here:  http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/1c39/

Aaah, the good ol’ days in Earthlink tech support.

Except for the “good” part.

Hawk’s Shirt of the Week 2014-06-29

No Place To Hide

No Place To Hide

Boba Fett.  Is there a more popular/capable bounty hunter in the galaxy?  (Me: shaking my head)

I like this design because it’s almost completely made up of other designs, such as the city in the clouds, Han frozen is carbonite, planets, Jabba’s palace’s silhouette, the Millennium Falcon…. space debris…

DANGER
Flux Capacitor
1.21 Jigawatts

I’ve been a fan of Back to the Future since my sister dragged me to see it again.  She had the hots for Michael J. Fox.  I had the hots for his girl.  And that DeLorean.  Cool, man.

All those time paradoxes… going back and changing history… heavy, man.

I got this from ThinkGeek.  If it’s still available, it’d be here: http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/b77f/

Hawk’s Shirt of the Week 2014-06-15

Captain America's shield

I’m a fan of all the Avengers, including Captain America.  This shirt is for the second movie, Captain America: The Winter Soldier.  Nearly all the red has been worn off his shield.  I guess it has received a lot of abuse.

I got this from Thinkgeek.  If it’s still available, it’d be here:  http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/1bb1/

Have [Portal Gun]
Will Travel

I like the puzzle game Portal, so I thought I’d get this shirt because it’s kind of a play on the movie “Have Gun — Will Travel“.

I also have it in white:

I work well with others as long as they leave me alone.

I work well with others as long as they leave me alone.

True, I do work well with others as long as they leave me alone… but that usually doesn’t happen.  Oh well.

I saw this in a catalog somewhere and had to get it.

Hawk’s Shirt of the Week 2014-05-25

Batman Spotlight

I’m a fan of Batman.  Always have been.  I like how he’s considered a “super” hero, but he has no “super” powers.  He has just trained himself to ridiculous levels of competency in martial arts, combat, investigation…  and has really cool toys.

This shirt is made by some kind of special “dye sublimation process”.  Check out the sticker:

Dye sublimated print. Each tee is unique!

Dye sublimated print. Each tee is unique!
The dye sublimation printing process creates slight imperfections that are unique to and a part of each garment.

Got it from Thinkgeek.  If it’s still available, it’d be here: http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/19e1/

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex

I’m a fan of Ghost in the Shell.  Recently, they made a new series called Stand Alone Complex which takes place earlier in the timeline.

“The Major” is the primary character.  She’s on the back:
