Fantastic! Everything about the movie was great! And, along with the story, you get to find out how the Reavers came about. Also got some good backstory on how Simon busts out his sister.

Serenity is the name of the Firefly-class cargo freighter. The original show was called Firefly. It’s too bad that the show got axed right as it was getting good. But here’s something interesting: Someone is going to take a look at this movie and say, “Hey, we should make a TV show out of Serenity!” That would be awsome.

On a technical note, I like the silence in the space scenes. I like it because there is no sound in space; for sound to occur, there needs to be an atmosphere. In the show Firefly, all the scenes in space are silent as far as sound effects go. There may be music in the scene, or a voice over a radio, but there are no sounds of things happening in the scene. I think this is very realistic.

I enjoied the movie a lot, and I can’t wait for more! The fight scenes were wrenching to watch; very well done. I just love seeing a little girl kick ass. The bad guy was a good bad guy, meaning that I really wanted to see him die in some suitably horrible fashion. The comedy was hillarious, as usual. I didn’t like certain losses, but would like to know the reasons for ‘em.

In short, I hope they continue to make more movies and/or TV shows in this universe. And yes, I’m definately buying it when it comes out on DVD.
