The Musso & Frank Grill

Well now, it’s been a while since I’ve been to a resturant worth commenting on… until recently. I visited The Musso & Frank Grill (I call ‘em Musso & Frank’s) and had their daily special. It was a Saturday, so I had Braised Short Ribs of Beef with Vegetables.

It nearly blew my socks off! The beef was so tender, it slid right off the bone. I didn’t even need a knife, the fork was good enough. It was a lot of food, but not too much. The vegies were excellent. Hell, everything was excellent!

The second time I went there, I had a hugemongus Porterhouse Steak. And dang, I was impressed! The sucker must have weighed 10 lbs! I did need a steak knife, but the meat was still tender and juicy, and oh so full of flavor! You know those commercials where the speaker is spouting something like, “… and you’ll savour every bite!” Well, I thought that was a load of crap… until now. Ask my roommate, he was there. He saw me savour every bite. It took me a while to finish it, but I did finish the whole thing.

Dang, this is making me hungry just typing about it!

The building looks great, like it was put up not too long ago. I think I was the youngest person there for most of the evening. And most of the waiters look like they’ve been there since it opened.

An excellent dining experience, and highly recommended.
